Hi! My name is Erin. My work encompasses a variety of modalities, but what ties it all together is basically this: I love sharing tools and practices that invite people more deeply into the experience of being human. Whether that comes in the form of decreasing pain and stress, learning to do a handstand, or getting comfortable with vulnerability...I'm so here for it.
My approach to movement, whether it's yoga or strength training, is always about loving bodies first. I've never met a movement or a pose that couldn't be modified for the person doing it, and I love the creative process of customizing exercise to make it accessible, appropriately challenging, and fun for everyone. Right up front: when it comes to bodies, I don't focus on weight loss. I focus on loving yourself and your body and discovering all that it is capable of.
My approach to nutritional coaching is similar: Iām here to affirm your experience and help you discover the possibilities that belong to you, because of (not in spite of) who you are.
As a coach, my work centers on two basic questions: 1. What about your current experience isn't working for you?; and 2. What would you like to have instead? I'm not here as a guru or a person who has everything figured out; I'm just a person who has learned through my own struggle (and lots of training and study) how to apprach lasting practices of self-understanding and self-care, and loves to see people tune into the most authentic version of themselves.
As a human being, I'm a lot of things: a yoga teacher, personal trainer/corrective exercise specialist, and health coach; a mom, gardener, and desert-dwelling Midwesterner; a writer, activist, and queer and polyamorous person; a dancer, strand-up comedy fan, and old punk rocker. Mostly, I'm a variegated goofball who really likes people.
